A silky and creamy Italian-inspired dessert infused with rich espresso flavor, offering a smooth texture and elegant presentation. Perfect as a make-ahead treat for special occasions or indulgent moments.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly brewed espresso
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and espresso. Heat gently, stirring until sugar dissolves without boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds.
  6. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  7. Serve chilled in glasses or unmold onto plates. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder if desired.

Notes

  • Do not boil the mixture to maintain a smooth texture.
  • Use strong espresso for a deeper coffee flavor.
  • Chill overnight for best results and firmness.
