Easy Franks and Beans is a classic comfort food made with savory hot dogs and hearty baked beans simmered in a rich, flavorful sauce. This quick, budget-friendly meal is perfect for busy weeknights, casual family dinners, or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • Hot dogs, sliced
  • Canned baked beans
  • Onion, diced
  • Butter or olive oil
  • Ketchup
  • Yellow mustard
  • Brown sugar
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • Smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter or olive oil in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the sliced hot dogs and cook for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Add the baked beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika if using.
  5. Stir until well combined.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and the flavors have blended.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
