Tender and juicy air fryer ribs coated in a flavorful spice rub and finished with a caramelized barbecue glaze. This quick and easy recipe delivers delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs without the need for a grill.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  2. Cut the ribs into sections to fit the air fryer basket.
  3. Rub ribs with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  5. Place ribs in a single layer in the basket.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes, then flip and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes until tender.
  7. Brush ribs with barbecue sauce.
  8. Increase temperature to 200°C (400°F) and cook for 5 minutes to caramelize.
  9. Remove and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use baby back or spare ribs for best results.
  • Add chili powder for a spicier rub.
  • Try different barbecue sauces for variation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
