Easter Egg Chocolate Oreos are easy no-bake treats coated in smooth chocolate and finished with colorful pastel decorations. They are perfect for Easter parties, dessert trays, treat boxes, and homemade gifts.

Ingredients

  • 18 Oreo cookies
  • 12 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts
  • Pastel pink candy melts
  • Pastel blue candy melts
  • Pastel yellow candy melts
  • Pastel purple candy melts
  • Easter sprinkles
  • Pastel nonpareils, optional
  • Contrasting melted chocolate for drizzling, optional

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Place the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in short intervals, stirring well between each interval, until completely melted and smooth. If using several pastel colors, melt each color separately.
  3. Place one Oreo into the melted chocolate and carefully turn it until completely coated. Lift it out with a fork and gently tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess coating.
  4. Transfer the coated Oreo to the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining cookies.
  5. Before the coating sets, decorate the Oreos with Easter sprinkles, pastel nonpareils, or other small decorations. For an Easter egg effect, allow the coating to begin setting before drizzling contrasting pastel melted chocolate over the cookies in lines or zigzag patterns.
  6. Leave the decorated Oreos at room temperature until the coating has completely hardened, about 20 minutes. For faster setting, refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Once firm, carefully remove the Oreos from the parchment paper and arrange them on a serving platter or package them in treat bags.

Notes

  • White, milk, or dark chocolate can be used instead of candy melts.
  • Golden Oreos can replace traditional Oreos for a vanilla-flavored variation.
  • If the melted coating is too thick for dipping, stir in a very small amount of coconut oil or vegetable shortening until smooth.
  • Handle the cookies gently while dipping to prevent them from breaking.
  • Store in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 1–2 weeks, separating layers with parchment or wax paper.
  • If the kitchen is warm, refrigerate the cookies and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
  • For gifting, package fully set cookies in treat bags, Easter boxes, or cookie tins and keep them in a cool place.
