Ingredients

  • Brie cheese, small wheel or wedge
  • Cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Goat cheese
  • Salami, thinly sliced
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Assorted crackers
  • Baguette slices
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Baby carrots
  • Cucumber, sliced into rounds or sticks
  • Radishes, sliced or whole
  • Hummus
  • Olives
  • Mixed nuts, such as almonds, cashews, or pecans
  • Honey or fruit preserves
  • Mini chocolate eggs
  • Fresh rosemary, thyme, or other herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Choose a large serving board, platter, or tray with enough room for all of the ingredients.
  2. Place small bowls on the board first and fill them with hummus, olives, honey, preserves, or other ingredients that are easier to contain.
  3. Position the Brie, cheddar, and goat cheese around the board, leaving space between them to create separate sections.
  4. Arrange the salami and prosciutto near the cheeses, folding or loosely bunching the slices to create height and texture.
  5. Add crackers and baguette slices in small rows or curved sections around the meats and cheeses.
  6. Arrange the strawberries, grapes, blueberries, carrots, cucumber, and radishes throughout the open spaces.
  7. Add mixed nuts to smaller gaps and scatter a few around the board for an abundant appearance.
  8. Arrange the mini chocolate eggs in several small clusters, keeping them somewhat separated from the meats and moist vegetables.
  9. Add fresh herbs around the edges and between ingredients for extra spring color.
  10. Fill any remaining gaps with additional berries, nuts, crackers, or chocolates.
  11. Keep all perishable ingredients properly chilled until close to serving time.
  12. Serve with cheese knives, small spoons, cocktail picks, and napkins so guests can easily help themselves.

Notes

  • For an Easter brunch board, add mini croissants, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, berries, jam, sliced fruit, and small pastries.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the salami and prosciutto and add extra cheeses, hummus, nuts, olives, roasted vegetables, fresh produce, and crackers.
  • For a kid-friendly board, use mild cheese cubes, crackers, pretzels, popcorn, berries, cookies, and colorful Easter candy while considering age-appropriate choking hazards.
  • For a dessert-focused board, use chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies, cookies, marshmallow treats, berries, chocolate-covered pretzels, and small candies.
  • The ingredients can be arranged in an Easter egg or bunny shape for a more decorative presentation.
  • For advance preparation, wash and thoroughly dry produce, portion meats, slice firm cheeses, and prepare dips ahead. Keep perishable components covered and refrigerated until assembly.
  • Refrigerate leftover meats, cheeses, dips, and cut produce promptly in separate airtight containers. Store crackers, bread, nuts, and chocolates separately to preserve their texture.
