Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for decorating)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk (for decorating)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for decorating)
  • Food coloring
  • Sprinkles or candy decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  7. Cut into bunny shapes using cookie cutters.
  8. Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Cool completely before decorating.
  11. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing.
  12. Color icing as desired and decorate cookies with sprinkles or candies.
