Dorito Taco Pie is a cheesy and satisfying casserole-style pie layered with seasoned taco beef, crunchy Doritos, creamy filling, and melted cheese. This family-friendly dish delivers bold taco flavors and irresistible texture in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 3 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos, lightly crushed
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Chopped tomatoes, for garnish
  • Shredded lettuce, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Drain excess grease and stir in the taco seasoning and water.
  5. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies and remove from the heat.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream and eggs until smooth.
  8. Spread half of the crushed Doritos in the bottom of the prepared pie dish.
  9. Layer the taco meat mixture over the Doritos.
  10. Pour the sour cream mixture evenly over the meat.
  11. Sprinkle the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top.
  12. Finish with the remaining crushed Doritos.
  13. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the center is set and the cheese is bubbly.
  14. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  15. Garnish with green onions, chopped tomatoes, and shredded lettuce before serving.
