  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain well.

  4. In the same skillet, sauté the onion until softened, then add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with the mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan cheeses.
  8. Arrange the crispy pepperoni evenly over the cheese.
  9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
