Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer gently until slightly thickened.
Stir in the chopped dill and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes to combine flavors.
Serve warm with your choice of sides.
Notes
Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for a juicier result.
Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
A sprinkle of Parmesan cheese adds extra richness.
Reheat gently and add a splash of broth or cream if sauce thickens.
