A refreshing Ninja Creami sorbet made with juicy watermelon, fresh lime juice, and a touch of sweetness. This light, fruity frozen dessert has a bright watermelon flavor and smooth, scoopable texture.

Ingredients

  • Seedless watermelon, cubed
  • Granulated sugar or another suitable sweetener
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Lime zest, optional
  • Fresh mint, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any visible seeds.
  2. Add the watermelon, sugar, fresh lime juice, and salt to a blender.
  3. Blend until completely smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness or lime juice if needed.
  4. Pour the watermelon mixture into a compatible Ninja Creami pint container, keeping it below the maximum fill line.
  5. Place the container on a level surface in the freezer and freeze according to the instructions for your Creami model, generally about 24 hours or until completely solid.
  6. Remove the frozen pint from the freezer and install it in the Ninja Creami according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Process the frozen watermelon base using the Sorbet setting.
  8. If the texture is powdery or crumbly after the first cycle, follow the instructions for your machine and use Re-Spin as needed until smooth.
  9. If desired, add fresh mint or another suitable mix-in according to the instructions for your specific Creami model.
  10. Serve immediately for the softest, smoothest texture.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet seedless watermelon for the best flavor.
  • The unfrozen mixture can be made slightly sweeter than desired because freezing reduces the perception of sweetness.
  • Add extra lime juice and a little lime zest for a brighter citrus flavor.
  • A small amount of fresh mint can be blended into the base or added as an appropriate mix-in.
  • Replace some of the watermelon with ripe strawberries or peaches for a mixed-fruit variation.
  • Fresh lemon juice can replace the lime juice.
  • Blend the ingredients before freezing rather than processing loose frozen watermelon chunks unless the instructions for your specific machine explicitly permit it.
  • Store leftovers covered in the Creami pint and smooth the surface before refreezing.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s reprocessing instructions to restore the texture of refrozen sorbet.
