A thick and creamy Ninja Creami smoothie bowl made with banana, strawberries, Greek yogurt, and milk. Finish it with fresh fruit, granola, coconut, seeds, or nuts for a refreshing breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

  • Banana
  • Strawberries
  • Greek yogurt
  • Milk
  • Honey or maple syrup, optional
  • Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh strawberries, for topping
  • Banana slices, for topping
  • Blueberries, for topping
  • Granola, for topping
  • Shredded coconut, for topping
  • Chia seeds, for topping
  • Chopped nuts, optional

Instructions

  1. Add the banana, strawberries, Greek yogurt, milk, optional honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth, stopping to scrape down the blender as necessary.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if needed.
  4. Pour the smoothie mixture into a compatible Ninja Creami pint container, keeping it below the maximum fill line.
  5. Smooth the surface and place the pint on a level surface in the freezer.
  6. Freeze according to the instructions for your specific Ninja Creami model, generally about 24 hours or until completely solid.
  7. Remove the frozen pint and install it in the Ninja Creami according to the manufacturer’s directions.
  8. Select the Bowl or Smoothie Bowl program if available on your model. Otherwise, use the processing program recommended by the manufacturer for this type of frozen base.
  9. If the mixture is powdery or crumbly after processing, follow the appropriate Re-Spin procedure for your machine until the texture is thick and creamy.
  10. Spoon the processed mixture into bowls and top with fresh strawberries, banana slices, blueberries, granola, shredded coconut, chia seeds, or chopped nuts as desired.
  11. Serve immediately while thick and creamy.

Notes

  • Use only enough milk to blend the ingredients smoothly, as excess liquid can produce a thinner smoothie bowl.
  • Taste the base before freezing and add honey or maple syrup only if additional sweetness is needed.
  • For a berry variation, use a combination of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries.
  • For a tropical smoothie bowl, use mango, pineapple, banana, and optional coconut milk.
  • Add unsweetened cocoa powder to a banana-based mixture for a chocolate banana variation.
  • Ripe peaches can replace the strawberries for a peach smoothie bowl.
  • Freeze the pint level and completely solid according to the instructions for your specific Ninja Creami model.
  • Store leftover processed base in a compatible covered Creami pint, smooth the surface, and refreeze.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s reprocessing instructions before serving refrozen leftovers.
  • Store fresh fruit, granola, coconut, seeds, and nuts separately and add them immediately before serving for the best texture.
