Cottage Cheese Chips are a surprising, low-carb snack that turns simple cottage cheese into crispy, savory bites. These baked chips are high in protein, easy to make, and perfect for a guilt-free crunch.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup cottage cheese (full fat or low fat)
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 large egg
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: dried herbs like oregano, thyme, or rosemary

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional herbs. Mix well until combined.
  2. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the surface is crisp.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet; chips will continue to crisp as they cool.
  5. Break into chip-sized pieces and serve.

Notes

  1. Add chili flakes or smoked paprika for a spicy kick.
  2. Use shredded cheddar or mozzarella instead of Parmesan.
  3. Mix in finely chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives.
  4. Make sweet versions by adding cinnamon and a touch of sweetener.
  5. Use Greek yogurt in place of cottage cheese for a creamier chip.
