Ingredients

  • 24 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits or crushed toffee candy
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for dusting)
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, mix mascarpone until smooth, then gently fold in whipped cream.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into cooled coffee and optional liqueur.
  4. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
  5. Spread a layer of mascarpone mixture over the biscuits and sprinkle with toffee bits.
  6. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of cream.
  7. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle extra toffee bits if desired.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Dip ladyfingers quickly to avoid sogginess.
  • Substitute mascarpone with cream cheese blended with cream if needed.
  • Add chocolate ganache or chocolate chips for extra richness.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Best served chilled; not suitable for reheating.
  • Can be made alcohol-free by omitting liqueur.
