Cinnamon Roll Apple Pie combines a sweet cinnamon roll crust with a warm, spiced apple filling and a drizzle of glaze. This comforting dessert blends the flavors of classic apple pie and cinnamon rolls into one irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • Apples, peeled and sliced
  • Brown sugar
  • Granulated sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Cornstarch
  • Lemon juice
  • Vanilla extract
  • Reserved icing from the cinnamon roll package or homemade vanilla glaze
  • Caramel sauce (optional topping)
  • Chopped pecans (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Separate the cinnamon rolls and press them into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish, sealing any gaps to form a crust.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix until the apples are evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the apple mixture into the prepared cinnamon roll crust.
  7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
  8. If the crust begins browning too quickly, loosely cover the edges with foil.
  9. Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 20 minutes.
  10. Drizzle the reserved icing or homemade glaze over the pie.
  11. Top with caramel sauce or chopped pecans if desired.
  12. Slice and serve warm.
