Cinnamon Pie is a rich and creamy custard-style dessert infused with warm cinnamon spice and baked in a flaky pie crust. Perfect for holidays, family gatherings, or cozy evenings, it offers a comforting balance of sweetness and spice.

Ingredients

  • Unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • Granulated sugar
  • All-purpose flour
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Eggs
  • Heavy cream
  • Whole milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Whipped cream (optional topping)
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges as desired.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the eggs and whisk until smooth.
  5. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until fully combined.
  6. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  7. Carefully transfer the pie to the oven.
  8. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggles when gently shaken.
  9. Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  11. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or cloves for a deeper spice flavor.
  • Brown sugar can be used for part of the sweetener to add caramel notes.
  • Top with toasted pecans or a drizzle of caramel sauce for extra richness.
