Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F or preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces for easier filling.
  3. Flatten each biscuit dough piece slightly with your hands.
  4. Spoon a small amount of apple pie filling into the center of each dough piece.
  5. Carefully seal the dough around the filling to form a ball.
  6. Arrange the filled dough balls on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
  7. Bake or air fry for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Melt the butter in a small bowl.
  9. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
  10. Brush the warm apple pie bombs with melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  11. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Crescent roll dough can be used instead of biscuit dough.
  • Add cream cheese filling for extra richness.
  • Peach or cherry pie filling makes a delicious variation.
  • Seal the dough tightly to prevent the filling from leaking.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to keep them crispy.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
