These Colorful Cookies are soft, buttery treats packed with vibrant candy-coated chocolates and optional rainbow sprinkles for a fun, festive touch. With chewy centers and lightly crisp edges, they’re perfect for birthdays, holidays, bake sales, or everyday treats.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups colorful candy-coated chocolates or rainbow chocolate candies
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the candy-coated chocolates, rainbow sprinkles, and white chocolate chips if using.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Press a few extra candy-coated chocolates onto the tops of the cookies for a colorful finish.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
