Chicken Stuffing Casserole is a cozy, all-in-one comfort dish made with tender chicken, creamy sauce, vegetables, and flavorful stuffing. It’s easy to make, perfect for busy nights, and a family-friendly favorite.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  2. 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (e.g., Stove Top)
  3. 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  4. 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  5. 1 cup chicken broth (for stuffing)
  6. 2 tbsp butter (for stuffing)
  7. 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables or green beans
  8. 1/2 small onion, diced (optional)
  9. 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  10. 1/2 tsp salt
  11. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  12. 1/2 tsp dried thyme or poultry seasoning (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  1. Prepare stuffing mix according to package instructions, substituting chicken broth and butter for water. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream (if using), salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Stir in cooked chicken, frozen vegetables, and optional sautéed onion and garlic.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spoon prepared stuffing evenly over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until hot and bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
  7. Let sit for 5–10 minutes before serving.
