A comforting baked dish featuring tender chicken breasts topped with creamy soup and buttery seasoned stuffing, baked to golden perfection for a hearty, home-style meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water (use broth for richer flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (optional, such as thyme or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the stuffing according to package directions, substituting some or all of the water with chicken broth.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then arrange them in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  4. Spread the cream of chicken soup evenly over the chicken.
  5. Spoon the prepared stuffing on top, spreading it to cover completely.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the stuffing.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is golden brown.
  9. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier variation.
  • Add cheese, vegetables, or herbs for extra flavor.
  • Cover with foil to keep the stuffing moist during baking.
  • Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for best texture.
