Ingredients

  • 1 large round loaf of crusty bread
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the loaf of bread on a cutting board and slice it in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through the bottom.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
  4. Gently open the bread cuts and drizzle the butter mixture throughout the loaf.
  5. Stuff the mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly into all the cuts in the bread.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Wrap the bread loosely in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm while the cheese is still stretchy and gooey.
