Cheesy BBQ Chicken Pizza Rolls are soft, golden rolls filled with shredded chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, and melty cheese—baked to perfection for a fun, flavorful twist on classic BBQ chicken pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  3. Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle shredded chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, and red onion evenly over the sauce.
  5. Tightly roll the dough into a log from the long side.
  6. Cut into 1 to 1½-inch slices using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  7. Place rolls cut side up in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Brush tops with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder or Italian seasoning if desired.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with cilantro or green onions and serve warm.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
  • Adjust BBQ sauce to taste for a sweeter or spicier result.
  • Keep rolls close together in the pan to help them hold shape while baking.
