Cauliflower Pizza Crust is a crispy and flavorful low-carb alternative to traditional pizza dough made with cauliflower, cheese, and simple seasonings. Perfect for homemade pizza nights, this gluten-free crust is sturdy, satisfying, and easy to customize with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles rice.
  3. Microwave the cauliflower rice for about 5 minutes, then let it cool slightly.
  4. Place the cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, egg, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the prepared pan and shape it into a thin pizza crust.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden and firm.
  8. Remove from the oven, add your favorite pizza toppings, and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Squeezing out as much moisture as possible is essential for a crispy crust.
  • Frozen cauliflower rice can be used if thawed and drained thoroughly.
  • For extra crispiness, bake the crust a few extra minutes before adding toppings.
  • The crust can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Top with classic pizza ingredients or customize with your favorite toppings.
