Broiled Lobster Tails are a luxurious seafood dish featuring tender lobster meat brushed with a rich garlic butter mixture and broiled until perfectly golden. This elegant recipe delivers restaurant-quality results with minimal effort and is ideal for special occasions or memorable dinners at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails (68 ounces each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler and position an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, stopping before the tail fin.
  3. Gently loosen the lobster meat from the shell while keeping it attached at the base.
  4. Lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell for presentation.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Place the lobster tails on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the lobster meat generously with the butter mixture.
  8. Broil for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and lightly browned on top.
  9. The lobster is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F (60–63°C).
  10. Remove from the oven and brush with any remaining garlic butter.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Thaw frozen lobster tails completely before cooking.
  • Avoid overcooking, as lobster can become tough and rubbery.
  • Add fresh herbs such as thyme, dill, or chives to the butter for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before broiling for a richer variation.
  • Serve with asparagus, rice pilaf, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
  • Leftovers can be gently reheated in a low oven with extra butter.
