Ingredients

  • Digestive biscuits or graham crackers, crushed
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Dulce de leche or caramel sauce
  • Ripe bananas, sliced
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings (optional garnish)
  • Cocoa powder (optional garnish)
  • Toffee bits (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Crush the digestive biscuits or graham crackers into fine crumbs.
  2. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until evenly combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Refrigerate the crust for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Spread the dulce de leche evenly over the chilled crust.
  6. Arrange the sliced bananas in an even layer over the caramel.
  7. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the banana layer.
