Banana Milkshake is a creamy, refreshing drink made with ripe bananas, milk, and a few simple ingredients blended until smooth. Naturally sweet and velvety, it’s perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a quick homemade dessert.

Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas
  • Cold milk
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the ripe bananas and cut them into chunks.
  2. Add the bananas, cold milk, vanilla extract, and honey or maple syrup if using to a blender.
  3. Add the vanilla ice cream if you prefer a richer and creamier milkshake.
  4. Add a handful of ice cubes for a chilled, frosty texture.
  5. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
  7. Pour the milkshake into chilled glasses.
  8. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
  9. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas with brown spots for the sweetest flavor.
  • Frozen banana slices make the milkshake thicker and colder.
  • Blend in peanut butter, cocoa powder, or fresh berries for delicious variations.
  • Add Greek yogurt or vanilla protein powder for extra protein.
  • Use almond, oat, soy, or coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and stir or blend before serving.
  • Freezing the prepared milkshake is not recommended as the texture may change.
