These Baked Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Bagels are a quick and satisfying meal featuring crispy toasted bagels, rich pizza sauce, gooey mozzarella cheese, and savory pepperoni. They’re perfect for busy weeknights, snacks, or game day gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 plain bagels, sliced in half
  • 2/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • Italian seasoning, to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh basil, chopped (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the bagel halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over each bagel half.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  5. Top with pepperoni slices and any optional toppings.
  6. Season lightly with Italian seasoning and garlic powder if using.
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil or grated Parmesan cheese, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Lightly toast the bagel halves before adding toppings to help prevent sogginess.
  • Substitute pepperoni with cooked Italian sausage, grilled chicken, or extra vegetables.
  • Try cheddar, provolone, or a pizza cheese blend instead of mozzarella.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in a 400°F oven or air fryer until hot and crispy for the best texture.
