These Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls are a healthy and delicious snack or appetizer, packed with broccoli, cheddar cheese, and savory seasonings. Ingredients

  • 2 cups of broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for about 2 minutes until bright green and tender. Drain and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into small balls (about 1-1 ½ inches) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
