Baguette pizza is a quick and easy alternative to traditional pizza, made using crusty baguette halves topped with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners, snacks, or parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette (fresh or day-old)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 to cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Assorted toppings (e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, olives, sausage)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, then into smaller portions if desired.
  3. Place the baguette pieces cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic if using.
  5. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each piece.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  7. Add your preferred toppings.
  8. Sprinkle dried oregano or Italian seasoning over the top.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use day-old baguette for extra crispiness.
  • Customize with any toppings you like or have on hand.
  • Brush with olive oil to help preserve moisture and enhance flavor.
  • Reheat in a toaster oven for best texture.
  • Assemble ahead and bake when ready to serve.
