Rich, fudgy air fryer brownies combine deep chocolate flavor with sweet strawberries and swirls of strawberry preserves. This easy small-batch dessert has moist centers, set edges, and bursts of berry flavor.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Granulated sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • All-purpose flour
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Salt
  • Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • Fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • Strawberry preserves or jam
  • Fresh strawberries, optional for topping
  • Powdered sugar, optional for topping
  • Melted chocolate, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) if recommended for your model.
  2. Lightly grease a small air-fryer-safe baking pan and line the bottom with parchment paper, making sure the parchment is securely contained by the pan and batter.
  3. Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth and well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and gently fold just until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and finely diced strawberries without overmixing.
  8. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  9. Spoon small amounts of strawberry preserves over the surface and gently swirl them through the top of the batter with a knife or skewer.
  10. Carefully place the pan in the air fryer basket.
  11. Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for approximately 18–25 minutes, beginning to check the brownies early because air fryer models and pan sizes vary.
  12. Insert a toothpick into the center. Remove the brownies when the edges are set and the toothpick comes out with moist crumbs rather than liquid batter.
  13. Carefully remove the pan and allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing so the fudgy center can set.
  14. Top with fresh strawberries, powdered sugar, or melted chocolate if desired and serve.

Notes

  • Keep fresh strawberry pieces small and use a modest amount to prevent excess moisture from making the brownies difficult to bake evenly.
  • For frozen strawberries, thaw and drain them thoroughly before chopping and adding them to the batter.
  • Thick strawberry jam or preserves can be used without fresh strawberries for a simple strawberry jam variation.
  • Do not wait for the toothpick to come out completely dry; moist crumbs help indicate a fudgy brownie texture.
  • For strawberry cheesecake brownies, swirl small spoonfuls of a sweetened cream cheese mixture into the batter with the strawberry preserves.
  • Raspberries and raspberry preserves can replace the strawberries for a tart berry variation.
  • Chopped walnuts or pecans can be folded into the batter for extra crunch.
  • Store cooled brownies containing fresh strawberries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
  • Brownies can be frozen in individual portions in a freezer-safe container with parchment between the layers.
  • Add fresh strawberry garnishes after reheating rather than warming them with the brownies.
