Air Fryer Salmon Bites are crispy, flavorful, and tender chunks of salmon cooked quickly in the air fryer for a healthy and delicious snack or appetizer. These bites offer a perfect balance of crispy exterior and moist interior with minimal oil and fuss.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
    1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
    2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    1 large egg, beaten
Cooking spray or oil for air fryer basket

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.

  1. In a bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip salmon pieces into beaten egg, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with oil.
  4. Place salmon bites in a single layer in the basket, making sure they are not touching.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  6. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce such as tartar sauce, aioli, or lemon wedges.

Notes

  1. Use crushed cornflakes or almond flour instead of panko for different textures.
  2. Add fresh herbs like dill or parsley to the breadcrumb mix.
  3. Toss bites in buffalo sauce after cooking for a spicy kick.
  4. Serve over mixed greens or in wraps for a meal option.
  5. Use frozen salmon pieces thawed before cooking for convenience.
  6. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  7. Reheat in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
