  3. Place each hot dog into a bun.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce over each hot dog.

  6. Top with pepperoni slices and Italian seasoning.
  7. Return the assembled pizza dogs to the air fryer basket.

  9. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, fresh basil or parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  10. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Use turkey or chicken hot dogs for a lighter option.
  • Substitute pepperoni with cooked sausage, bacon, or sliced mushrooms.
  • Add black olives, diced bell peppers, or onions for extra pizza toppings.
  • Try cheddar, provolone, or an Italian cheese blend instead of mozzarella.
  • Make a Hawaiian version with diced pineapple and ham.
  • Brush the buns with garlic butter before air frying for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze assembled pizza dogs for up to 2 months.
