Ingredients

  • 16 large white or cremini mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms and carefully remove the stems.
  2. Lightly brush the mushroom caps with olive oil.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper.
  4. Mix gently until well combined.
  5. Fill each mushroom cap generously with the seafood mixture.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
  8. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  9. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  10. Cook for 8–10 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  11. Remove carefully and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  12. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Lump crab meat provides the best texture, but canned or imitation crab can be used.
  • Do not soak mushrooms when cleaning to avoid excess moisture.
  • For a baked version, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes.
