Air Fryer Copycat Red Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms are a restaurant-inspired appetizer featuring tender mushroom caps filled with a creamy crab and cheese mixture, finished with a crispy golden topping. Quick to prepare and packed with flavor, they’re perfect for parties, holidays, and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 16 large white button or cremini mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained and picked over
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms and gently remove the stems.
  2. Lightly brush the mushroom caps with olive oil.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper.
  4. Mix gently until fully combined.
  5. Fill each mushroom cap generously with the seafood mixture.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together the panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the stuffed mushrooms.
  8. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  9. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  10. Cook for 8–10 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  11. Carefully remove the mushrooms from the air fryer.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Lump crab meat provides the best texture, but canned or imitation crab can be used.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Assemble the mushrooms several hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  • To bake instead of air fry, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes.
  • Avoid soaking mushrooms in water to prevent excess moisture.
