Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets are crispy, golden, and juicy with a flavorful breadcrumb coating cooked using less oil than traditional frying. Perfect for quick dinners, sandwiches, salads, or meal prep, these chicken cutlets are easy, satisfying, and family-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice or pound the chicken breasts into thin, even cutlets.
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken cutlet in flour, then egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F if needed.
  6. Arrange the chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove carefully and allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Panko breadcrumbs provide extra crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts.
  • Add cayenne pepper or lemon zest to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat in the air fryer.
  • Serve with salads, pasta, roasted vegetables, or use in sandwiches.
