This 15-Minute Whipped Brie Cheese with Sticky Pecans is a rich and elegant appetizer featuring creamy whipped brie topped with warm caramelized pecans. Perfect for holiday gatherings, parties, or casual entertaining, this sweet and savory dip pairs beautifully with crackers, crostini, and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into pieces
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • Fresh thyme for garnish
  • Crackers, crostini, or fresh fruit for serving

Instructions

  1. Remove the rind from the brie cheese and cut the cheese into small pieces.
  2. Place the brie, cream cheese, and heavy cream into a food processor.
  3. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth, light, and creamy.
  4. Transfer the whipped brie mixture to a serving bowl or plate and smooth the top.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  6. Add the pecans and brown sugar, stirring constantly until the sugar melts and coats the pecans.
  7. Stir in the honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
  8. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the pecans become sticky and glossy.
  9. Spoon the warm sticky pecans over the whipped brie.
  10. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve immediately with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh fruit.

Notes

  • Allow the brie and cream cheese to soften slightly before blending for the smoothest texture.
  • Hot honey or a pinch of cayenne pepper can add a sweet-spicy kick.
  • Walnuts or almonds can be substituted for pecans.
  • Top with dried cranberries, figs, or rosemary for additional flavor and presentation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve the whipped brie chilled or at room temperature, but the pecans are best warm.
