Whipped Feta is a smooth and tangy Mediterranean-inspired spread made with feta, creamy elements, and bright lemon. Perfect as a dip, sandwich spread, or flavorful base for bowls and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces block feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese or 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add crumbled feta, cream cheese or Greek yogurt, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and garlic to a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust with additional lemon juice or black pepper if desired.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs or red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use block feta for the creamiest texture.
  • For a sweeter variation, drizzle with honey and add crushed pistachios.
  • Blend in roasted red peppers for added depth and color.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Let sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving for best texture.
