A quick and elegant dessert with caramelized peaches baked atop flaky puff pastry, creating a golden, flavorful, and visually impressive treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
  2. Peel and slice the peaches. Toss them with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract if using.
  3. Melt butter in the prepared baking dish over medium heat. Add the peach slices and cook 3–5 minutes until slightly caramelized.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and place it over the peaches, tucking the edges around the fruit.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the puff pastry is golden and fully cooked.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving plate so the peaches are on top.

Notes

  • Peeling peaches is optional but creates a smoother texture.
  • Caramelize peaches lightly to prevent soggy pastry.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
  • Optional toppings: sliced almonds, honey drizzle, or vanilla ice cream.
