Turkey and Cheese Sliders are savory, melty mini sandwiches layered with sliced turkey, cheese, and a buttery glaze, baked to golden perfection. Ideal for gatherings or quick meals, they’re deliciously satisfying and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 3/4 pound sliced deli turkey
  • 68 slices Swiss, cheddar, or provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping rolls intact. Place the bottom halves in a greased or parchment-lined baking dish.
  3. Spread mayonnaise (if using) on the bottom buns. Layer with sliced turkey and cheese. Place the top halves of the buns on top.
  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds if using.
  5. Brush or pour the butter mixture evenly over the sliders, allowing it to soak in.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Let sliders cool slightly before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate, then bake fresh when ready to serve.
  • Use leftover holiday turkey for a quick option.
  • For a vegetarian version, swap turkey for sautéed vegetables like mushrooms and spinach.
  • Bake uncovered at the end for crispier tops.
