Texas-Style Pineapple Salsa is a sweet and spicy blend of fresh pineapple, crisp vegetables, and zesty lime. This vibrant no-cook salsa adds bold flavor to grilled meats, tacos, and tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine diced pineapple, red onion, jalapeño, and red bell pepper.
  2. Add chopped cilantro and gently toss to combine.
  3. Stir in fresh lime juice and lime zest.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Add honey if desired and mix well.
  6. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Stir before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

  • Fresh pineapple provides the best flavor and texture, but well-drained canned pineapple can be used.
  • Use serrano peppers for extra heat.
  • Add diced mango or avocado for variation.
