Taco Pizza is a bold and flavorful fusion of tacos and pizza, featuring a crispy crust layered with seasoned beef, refried beans, melted cheese, and classic taco toppings. Perfect for family dinners, parties, or a fun twist on taco night.

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • Sour cream or taco sauce for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Salsa or pico de gallo (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (or according to dough package instructions).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water to beef. Simmer until thickened. Set aside.
  4. Roll out pizza dough on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza pan. Pre-bake for 6–8 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Spread refried beans over the crust, then layer with seasoned beef and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, then top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, olives, and jalapeños if using.
  8. Drizzle with sour cream or taco sauce, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use pre-made crust for quicker prep.
  • Customize toppings to your taste.
  • Add crushed tortilla chips after baking for crunch.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven or skillet.
