Strawberry Nutella French Toast Roll Ups are a sweet, handheld breakfast treat featuring soft bread rolled with Nutella and strawberries, dipped in egg custard, pan-fried to golden perfection, and coated in sugar. Perfect for brunch, dessert, or a fun breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices soft white or sandwich bread
  • 1/2 cup Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Cut the crusts off each slice of bread and flatten them with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread a thin layer of Nutella on each slice.
  3. Add a small line of diced strawberries along one edge of each slice.
  4. Roll each slice tightly, starting from the strawberry edge.
  5. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
  6. Dip each roll up in the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  7. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Cook roll ups for 2–3 minutes per side, turning to brown all sides evenly.
  9. Immediately roll or sprinkle the warm roll ups in granulated sugar.
  10. Serve warm with extra strawberries, syrup, or powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use soft, fresh bread for easier rolling and better texture.
  • Roll tightly and place seam-side down in the pan to help seal the roll.
  • Customize fillings with bananas, cream cheese, or peanut butter.
  • Can be baked instead of pan-fried for a lighter option.
  • Serve with yogurt or fruit for a balanced breakfast.
