Strawberry Hibiscus Iced Tea is a refreshing, caffeine-free summer drink bursting with fruity and floral flavors. Made with real strawberries and hibiscus tea, this vibrant red beverage is perfect for gatherings, picnics, or everyday sipping.
3 cups sliced strawberries
2 cups water (for strawberry syrup)
1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
3 family-sized hibiscus tea bags (or ½ cup dried hibiscus flowers)
3 cups boiling water
8 cups cold water
Juice of 1 lemon
Ice cubes
Fresh strawberries and lemon slices (for garnish)
Prepare Strawberry Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, 2 cups water, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until the syrup thickens. Strain into a large pitcher, pressing to extract all juice. Discard solids.
Hibiscus Tea:
Steep tea bags in 3 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Sweeten if desired.
Combine and Chill:
Add hibiscus tea to the pitcher with strawberry syrup. Mix in 8 cups cold water and lemon juice. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Serve:
Pour over ice in glasses. Garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.
Minty Freshness: Add mint leaves during brewing for extra refreshment.
Berry Variations: Try adding blueberries or raspberries for a fruity twist.
Sparkling Swap: Use sparkling water in place of still for fizz
Frozen Strawberries: Can be used, just thaw before making syrup.
