Strawberry Banana Pudding is a creamy and refreshing dessert that blends fresh strawberries, ripe bananas, and a rich pudding base. This easy-to-make treat layers vanilla wafers with fruity goodness and creamy pudding for a delicious dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 package (12 oz) vanilla wafers

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until it thickens (about 2 minutes). Set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until soft peaks form (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Gently fold the whipped cream mixture into the prepared pudding until smooth and combined.
  • In a serving dish, layer the bottom with vanilla wafers.
  • Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
  • Spread a layer of pudding over the fruit and wafers.
  • Repeat the layering process (wafer, banana, strawberry, pudding) until all ingredients are used.
  • Finish with a final layer of pudding and top with extra strawberries and bananas for garnish.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

Notes

  • You can use other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, or peaches for a twist.
  • For a vegan version, substitute the dairy ingredients with plant-based alternatives like coconut cream and almond milk.
  • To prevent bananas from browning, coat them in a little lemon juice before layering.
