Spicy Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are juicy, tender chicken marinated in a flavorful, spicy sauce and grilled to perfection, topped with a creamy Bang Bang sauce for the perfect balance of heat and creaminess.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 tablespoon soy sauce
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (adjust to your spice preference)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    For the Bang Bang Sauce:
    1/4 cup mayonnaise
    2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)
    1 teaspoon honey
    1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

  1. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, in the refrigerator.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the Bang Bang sauce by whisking together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto skewers.
  4. Grill the chicken skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken skewers from the grill and drizzle with the Bang Bang sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper and sriracha for a spicier or milder version of this dish.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the skewers in a grill pan or bake them in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • For a sweeter sauce, increase the honey in the Bang Bang sauce.
  • To make this dish more customizable, add vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini to the skewers.
