Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders, cut into bite-sized pieces

⅓ cup cornstarch

4 tablespoons olive oil

1½ cups orange marmalade

½ cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon ground ginger

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until well-coated.

  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken pieces until golden but not fully cooked. Remove from heat.

  3. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, combine orange marmalade, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds. Stir well.

  4. Slow Cook: Transfer the seared chicken to the slow cooker. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir to coat. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, stirring once halfway through.

  5. Serve: Serve the orange chicken over rice or noodles, topped with chopped scallions and additional sesame seeds if desired.
