Simple Chocolate Fruit Dip is a quick and creamy dessert dip made with chocolate, cream cheese, and a few pantry staples. Perfect for pairing with fruit, cookies, or pretzels, it’s a rich and crowd-pleasing treat ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  2. 1/2 cup heavy cream
  3. 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  4. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. Optional: pinch of salt or cinnamon for extra flavor

Instructions

In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy cream until hot but not boiling.

  1. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  4. Slowly mix in the melted chocolate mixture and continue beating until smooth and creamy.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl. Chill for 15–20 minutes for a firmer dip, or serve immediately at room temperature.
  6. Optional: Garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder, sea salt, or chocolate shavings.
  7. Serve with fresh fruit, pretzels, marshmallows, or cookies.

Notes

  • Use dark chocolate for a deeper, more intense flavor.
  • Let dip come to room temperature before serving if made ahead.
  • Add peanut butter, espresso powder, or mint extract for flavor variations.
  • Pairs well with strawberries, apples, bananas, and grapes.
  • Use vegan alternatives for a dairy-free version.
