Shrimp Deviled Eggs are a delicious twist on the classic deviled egg recipe, combining creamy filling with succulent shrimp for a flavorful appetizer or party snack. These bite-sized treats are perfect for gatherings and are sure to impress.

Ingredients

  1. 12 large eggs
8 oz cooked shrimp, peeled and chopped
    1/4 cup mayonnaise
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Once done, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.

  1. Prepare the Filling: Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth.
  2. Mix the Filling: Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add Shrimp: Gently fold in the chopped shrimp, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the yolk mixture.
  4. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon or pipe the shrimp and yolk mixture back into the hollowed-out egg whites.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle a little smoked paprika on top for extra flavor and color. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

  1. For a spicy kick, add hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the filling.
  2. Top the eggs with crumbled crispy bacon for added texture.
  3. Replace shrimp with smoked salmon for a luxurious twist.
  4. For a creamier filling, you can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or sour cream.
