Infused with a hint of lemon and a touch of spice, it’s perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions, making it an easy, go-to seafood pasta recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ pound angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Optional: Chopped parsley, lemon wedges

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add shallots and sauté for 3 minutes. Add garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in white wine and simmer for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice and reserved pasta water to the skillet.
  • Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain, then add to the skillet, tossing with the shrimp and sauce.
  • Serve with chopped parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Other Seafood: Feel free to add scallops, crab meat, or lobster for a seafood medley.
  • Spicy Version: Adjust the red pepper flakes for a spicier dish.
  • Vegetarian Option: Skip the shrimp and opt for sautéed mushrooms or spinach instead.
