Salmon Sliders are mini sandwiches made with salmon patties or fillets, paired with fresh toppings and flavorful sauces. They’re a light, protein-packed alternative to beef sliders, perfect for parties, lunches, or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb salmon fillet (cooked and flaked) or 2 cans salmon (drained)
  2. 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  5. 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  6. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  7. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  8. Salt and black pepper, to taste
  9. 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley (optional)
  10. 8 slider buns or mini brioche buns
  11. Toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, pickles
  12. Sauce options: tartar sauce, dill mayo, sriracha aioli, or remoulade

Instructions

If using fresh salmon, cook and flake. For canned salmon, drain and remove skin/bones if needed.

  1. In a bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, mayo, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Shape mixture into 8 small patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Toast slider buns lightly, if desired.
  5. Assemble sliders: place patty on bun, top with sauce and chosen toppings, then cover with bun top.
  6. Serve warm with sides like fries, coleslaw, or salad.

Notes

  • Chill patties 10–15 minutes before cooking to help them hold together.
  • Use a grill mat if grilling to prevent sticking.
  • For a low-carb option, wrap patties in lettuce instead of buns.
