Real Black Truffle Butter is a rich, aromatic compound butter made with authentic fresh black truffles and high-quality butter. Deeply earthy and luxurious, it melts beautifully over hot dishes to instantly elevate any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted high-quality butter, softened
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh black truffle, very finely grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon truffle oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator and allow it to soften at room temperature until smooth and spreadable but not melted.
  2. Very finely grate the fresh black truffle using a microplane or truffle grater.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and grated truffle.
  4. Season lightly with fine sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Mix thoroughly with a spatula or fork until the truffle is evenly incorporated.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If the aroma is mild, add a very small drizzle of truffle oil and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture onto parchment paper and shape into a log. Roll tightly and twist the ends to seal.
  8. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm.
  9. Slice into rounds and place over hot dishes just before serving.

Notes

  • For garlic truffle butter, add a small pinch of finely grated garlic.
  • Mix in chopped parsley, chives, or thyme for a fresh herbal contrast.
  • Add a pinch of lemon zest to brighten the richness.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Use as a finishing butter to preserve the delicate truffle aroma.
